Plus it seems you get more visual stimulation from the seating area. You can go totally off the wall and paint your ceiling a different color. I am certain I could keep this up until sunday. but back to your dilemma, the color looks great. I wouldn't have thought that ending the new color on a corner would be so controversial! I like the color and the look of it but, you need something to transition it from wall to wall, color to color. They have nice corner beads now that almost look like they're carved and stuff. That's my suggestion... decorative corner beads on the two corners... full height. pre-paint them and use tiny finish nails and you won't even need to caulk, etc. I agree. Say there was some vertical strip (like molding although I don't think molding would work in this case) that separated the foyer so that the paint ended there. I think I'd like it better after I got used to it. We have something like this in our house. Didn't care for it at first but after a time I got used to it.
